Overgrown City

This is a Quarantine Zone that was used when the virus first broke out. The disease created zombies that were causing panic across the city. The government locked down the area creating multiple checkpoints to try and contain the spread of the virus. This area was one of the checkpoints that was used to direct people to the next safe zone. Citizens were instructed to line up at the gate and pull up to the checkpoint to be scanned for the virus. If they passed they moved to the next checkpoint at the next gate around the corner to be scanned again. If they passed they were instructed to move to the next checkpoint where they would be instructed on what safe zone they were to be moved to. All vehicle occupants would be scanned. If they did not pass the test the entire vehicle would be scanned again to ensure the number of occupants with the virus present. Once the occupant or occupants with the virus were confirmed they were either killed on the spot or moved to a research facility. The occupants who passed would be moved to the next scan and then instructed to the next area if they passed the second scan. If anyone tried to dodge the line or force their way through the gate their vehicle would be stopped using extreme force, deadly force was authorized. There were no exceptions for women, children, or infants. This facility was used for a little over a year before it was abandoned after all citizens were moved to the nearest safe zone. It has been unused for a few years and nature has just begun to reclaim the area.
